Priti Patel, Member of Parliament for Witham, attended the Silver End Garden Village centenary celebrations, joining residents, families and local organisations to mark 100 years of the village’s history and community spirit.
Silver End is a unique and historic village within the Witham constituency, known for its strong sense of identity and heritage. The centenary event brought the community together to celebrate this milestone, including the unveiling of a new torii arch to commemorate the occasion.
The celebrations saw an excellent turnout from residents, families and local groups, reflecting the pride the community holds in its history. Highlights of the evening included a specially created centenary cake and a range of activities recognising the village’s past, present and future. The event was made possible through the efforts of Silver End Parish Council, alongside volunteers, local schools and the church, whose hard work ensured a memorable and well-attended celebration.
