Priti Patel, Member of Parliament for Witham, met Earls Colne Parish Councillors to discuss local issues affecting the village and how they can continue working together to support residents and the local community.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss a range of priorities for Earls Colne, including the pressures facing the village, local services and infrastructure, and the importance of ensuring that the views of residents are heard by local and national decision-makers.
Since Earls Colne became part of the Witham constituency following the 2024 General Election boundary changes, Priti has been working with residents, community organisations and local representatives to champion the village and raise issues on their behalf.
Following the meeting, Priti Patel MP said:
“It was a pleasure to meet Earls Colne Parish Councillors and discuss the issues that matter to residents across the village.
“Parish councillors play an important role in representing their communities, and I value the opportunity to work closely with them to ensure Earls Colne has a strong voice.
“Since becoming the Member of Parliament for Earls Colne, I have been working with residents, local representatives and community organisations to support the village and raise the issues that matter locally.
“I will continue working with the Parish Council and the wider community to champion Earls Colne, support local priorities and ensure residents’ concerns are heard.”
