Witham MP, Priti Patel has given her personal support to the Alzheimer's Society with a personal donation, she presented to Witham Town Mayor, Cllr Paul Heath, for the Witham Mayoral Charity.
The Witham Mayoral Charity is an annual charitable cause selected by the Town Mayor to raise money and awareness for their chosen organisation. Priti joined Cllr Paul Heath at Witham Town Hall to present a £200 donation to the Alzheimer’s Society.
The Alzheimer’s Society is a leading UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. It provides information, advice, and practical support to individuals and their families, while also campaigning for better care and funding for research. The organisation plays a key role in raising awareness, reducing stigma, and working towards improved treatments and, ultimately, a cure for dementia.
After the visit, Priti said:
“I am delighted to donate to the Witham Mayoral Charity, this year charity of choice being The Alzheimer’s Society. The Alzheimer’s Society provides vital support for people suffering from this awful disease, as well as practical advice for families with loved ones affected by dementia. Dementia remains a devastating condition that affects so many people, and this donation will help support families and contribute to better treatments in the search for a cure.”
