Priti Patel, the Member of Parliament for Witham visited Colne Engaine Primary School, a thriving primary school that has recently become part of the constituency following boundary changes after the general election. The visit provided an opportunity for Priti, Emma Wigmore, Chief Executive of The Diocese of Chelmsford Vine School Trust, and Becky More, Executive Headteacher of Colne Engaine Primary School, to discuss the educational achievements and progress at the school and the vital role it plays in the local community.
During the visit, Priti Patel praised the dedication of the Vine Trust and school staff for the vibrant school curriculum and the standards of education provided by teaching staff across the school.
Priti said;
“It was a pleasure to visit Colne Engaine Primary School and see first-hand the incredible work being done by the Vine Schools Trust and the school’s leadership team. I was really pleased to hear that the school would like join in many of the educational activities I have run across other Witham schools, including Get Witham Reading which is now in its fourteenth year and the creative arts competitions I have invited schools to join.
“The education of our children is so important, along with developing their love of learning in a thriving school environment. I look forward to working with the school and supporting the wonderful teaching team as they continue to provide an excellent standard of learning for our children.”
