Witham MP Priti Patel has praised the work of ICEX Group and called for businesses to be given the freedom and confidence to invest, expand and create jobs.
During a return visit to the company’s premises in Witham, Priti saw how ICEX Group recycles and reconditions unwanted IT equipment, giving computers and other devices a new lease of life.
The refurbished equipment is then sold at affordable prices, helping more people access essential technology while also reducing electronic waste.
Priti Patel said:
“I was delighted to return to ICEX Group, a fantastic local company based here in Witham.
“ICEX is doing important work by recycling and reconditioning unwanted IT equipment, giving it a new lease of life and making technology more affordable and accessible, while also helping to reduce electronic waste.
“However, businesses like ICEX should be able to invest, expand and create jobs without being held back by Labour’s excessive taxes, burdensome regulation and rising costs.
“Our local economy cannot thrive when businesses are prevented from growing and are instead left standing still. I will continue to champion businesses across the Witham constituency and press for the conditions they need to grow, innovate and succeed.”
