Priti Patel, Member of Parliament for Witham, visited the ESG Group in Essex to meet with Managing Director Scott Sinden and his team, to hear more about the company’s growth, investment, and specialist manufacturing capabilities.
ESG Group is a UK-based manufacturer of high-performance technical glass products, headquartered in Essex and founded in 2003. The company is a leading independent glass processor, designing and producing specialist glass solutions for architectural, commercial and infrastructure projects across the UK. Its products include toughened, laminated, acoustic, security and switchable smart glass, supporting architects, contractors and developers working on complex and high-specification developments.
During the visit, Priti was given a full tour of ESGs facilities across their 2 sites in Witham, as well as discussion on ESG’s continued growth, its role in supporting skilled manufacturing jobs, and the importance of backing British businesses operating in specialist sectors. She also heard about the company’s work on major projects, including Heathrow Airport and large-scale commercial developments.
Following the visit, Priti said:
“It was a pleasure to visit ESG Group and meet with the company's executive team, to hear more about the company’s impressive growth and the specialist manufacturing taking place here in Essex.
“ESG is an outstanding example of a British business delivering high-quality, technical products for major infrastructure, architectural and commercial projects across the country. Their reputation for innovation, precision and high-performance glass solutions is a testament to the hard work, expertise and dedication of their team.
“Businesses like ESG play a vital role in supporting skilled jobs in the area, strengthening our manufacturing base, and contributing to the local and national economy. Yet companies like ESG are being hit hardest by Labour’s job destroying policies, rising employment costs and ever-increasing taxes, making it harder and harder for companies to grow. Companies like ESG are the core of our economy, and it is deeply concerning that Labour are putting their future at risk. Only the Conservatives have a clear and credible plan to support our businesses and deliver the jobs and growth our communities need.”
