Labour’s cancellation of the A12 Widening Scheme has delayed all improvements to our road junctions and bridges along the A12, including Woodend Bridge. Labour will now have to start from scratch to draw up new road junction improvements because of their ideological decision to scrap the planned A12 scheme and redirect the funding to projects in the North of England.
I have been in contact with National Highways and the Government regarding Woodend Bridge and the need for funding to carry out the necessary repairs. I understand that plans are being developed, and I will continue to press for these to be implemented as soon as possible.
